About Us
Fairfax Interiors is a Oxfordshire-based design studio creating characterful homes brought to life through a design approach that reflects the individuality of those who live in them. We work across the Cotswolds, London and the Home Counties, offering both full interior design and soft-furnishings services, and a well-loved virtual service for clients seeking thoughtful guidance on colour, textiles and room schemes.
As a small, collaborative team, we design with sensitivity — listening carefully, understanding how each client lives, and responding to the soul of every building. Whether a centuries-old cottage or a contemporary family home, we approach every project with the same considered, detail-driven care.
With roots as a soft-furnishings studio spanning more than 35 years, Fairfax Interiors was relaunched in 2023 to bring a broader, interior design-led vision. Under Zoë Turquet's direction, our work blends colour, texture, antiques and art to create interiors that feel timeless, relaxed and beautifully lived-in — spaces that evolve naturally and stand the test of time.
With over 14 years of experience in property fund management and hedge funds, Zoë transitioned her passion into interior design by earning a Diploma with Distinction from the National Design Academy in 2011. After collaborating on projects with friends and family across London, Zoë, along with her husband and three children, moved from West London during the pandemic, to an old rectory in need of extensive renovation. This transformative experience inspired her to accept the exciting offer of taking over Fairfax Interiors in 2023, leading it into an exciting new chapter—an opportunity too compelling to pass up.
